The mission of the department of Computer Engineering is to educate, prepare and inspire students to excel as professionals and to lead technology innovation and integration. The Computer Engineering program offers students the flexibility to specialize in one of the following thrust areas by appropriately choosing electives in these areas.

DigiPen’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering degree focuses on the hardware and software that make these interactions possible. All students accepted in the Bachelor of Computer Engineering program who are not enrolled in the Co-op program must complete one week internship to graduate. This internship program, C.Edge, is administered by theInstitute of Co-operative Education and will allow ECE students to have one paid internship in their field of study.
